My son showed his girlfriend Superhot and THAT was fun to watch.  She never quite figured out the time physics and instead of pausing and thinking she steadily started running around faster and faster shrieking until she head butted the wall (Oculus survived).  And that's with a full 15'X 15' space with a 10' X 8' guardian!  Good times!

Farlands does a great job in selling VR to non-gamers. It's the game my wife has played most. And when demoing the VR to my brother and his wife, it helped convince his wife that getting a Rift might not be such a bad idea. 🙂

OK.  I now have Space Pirate Trainer at the top of the list.  Quick to load, super easy to learn and play (just blast everything) and a lot of fun.  You don't have to show them the shield or other guns just give them the auto blasters and watch them go crazy.  I talked my (Luddite) wife into playing a game and *she* loved it!

Surprised no mention of The Lab.  Even though it's for Vive, it's really impressive with Rift too.
Rift-S, Quest 128GB, GO 64GB.

1) Through the Ages: National Parks

2) Land's End

3) Nomads

4 and 5 are purely hypothetical, but...

4) Annie Amber

5) Vendetta Online VR (I am a huge fan, and take every opportunity I can to talk about this masterpiece)

The Lab

So "hands down" it's not even funny. All you guys who say "Dreamdeck", I am sure you never seen "The Lab". Yes I know it's by Valve...but this is no Fanboism here or anything. It's simply the best VR demo I have seen, ever. Try it out and you will see. Dreamdeck is "nice", but I think Valve schooled Oculus there although "First Contact" is nice as well. I know the potential is there, these guys who made Dreamdeck and First Contact are good too but it still can't reach "The Lab", imho.

Some of us don't have Touch, so 'The Lab' doesn't work.

One of my newest favourite experiences is to show NEW people to VR is the 'Shark Cage Scene' in Ocean Rift.
Get them to put on the Rift, and bring up the eye calibration screen, then tell them to close their eyes for a few seconds as you boot up 'Ocean Rift' Click on the 'Great White' icon and as soon as it loads in ask them to open their eyes... the reaction so far has been priceless. (Don't forget these people have never seen VR before so to them its 100% real) Then show them the other underwater scenes with the dolphins and killer whales. They cannot stop talking about it afterwards.

LA 2097 - Precipice. To someone who's had a rift for a while they might not rate it that high, having already played immersive gaming. I tried it when i first got my rift and it was amazing. Also Doll city felt amazing too. I actually bought a rift after watching a doll city game play through google cardboard.

La 2097
Doll City
Sampa VR (plays fine on the CV1with some mod i forget the name of)
The Blue
Dream Deck, Modded to only show, the Alien scene, the T-rex Scene, And the Oculus city scene.
