Oculus Home won't start, crashes with "Fatal error in gc: GetThreadContext failed"

I just launched Oculus for the first time in about a week, and on startup I'm now getting this error:

The main Oculus window opens and works fine, but 1 second later the frame of a window labelled "Home" appears, hangs for a second then disappears and produces the popup above.

The screens inside the headset never turn on, and the headset is currently a fancy paperweight.

I have rebooted my PC and updated my GPU driver (Nvidia GTX 1080) with no success.

Then I Googled a bit and found that other people getting the same error had to completely purge Oculus, including the games folder and all Oculus-related folders under %APPDATA%. I did this, reinstalled Oculus and I'm still getting the same error.

My headset is completely bricked until I figure this out. Please help.

I have run the oculus log gatherer and attached the log to this post.

You may wish to try installing Oculus with the repair option when you run the setup. I also see an error about your Rift being plugged into the wrong GPU port. Make sure it is connected to the HDMI port on the primary GPU and NOT on the motherboard or on secondary cards. Installing the latest graphics drivers and restarting your computer sometimes helps.

If that doesn't work for you, I would recommend reaching out to Oculus Support:

I've now reinstalled Oculus with the repair option, it made no difference. I have opened a support ticket...

I already have. They told me they need time to review the log, so now I'm waiting...

Following the instructions of the support ticket;

Unity was not installed on my machine, so I couldn't uninstall it.

I had a LOT of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable versions installed, but I selected the one you specified (2015 x64) and uninstalled it. I then rebooted.

I then realized you requested I "repair" the Redistributable, not uninstall it, so I repaired the Oculus installation again to make it reinstall Microsoft Visual C++. I then repaired it as you requested. I rebooted my PC multiple times during this process, as well as at the end.

Oculus still crashes in the exact same way as before. I have gathered the last 24 hours of logs again and attached them to this post.
