Moments ago during the NBA playoffs, I just saw this commercial on prime TV:

First of all, that commercial is badass. Second... yeah, I think this confirms the Mainstream nature of the VR Industry.

I used to love Rod Hull and Emu when I was a kid! I was heartbroken when he tragically died 😞

Emu's dead?!  WTF - i thought he wasn't real!

OK, yeah, same here - loved Emu (and Rod too) - was bloody tragic, poor guy.

I do enjoy spotting the mainstream moments in VR. This time I saw a cool PlayStation VR commercial during the Season Finale of "Fear the Walking Dead."

The commercial almost made me want to buy a PSVR. Almost.

Reviving an old thread because today I saw something that reminded me of the whole "VR Mainstream" topic.

My son was actually on the Nick Jr. site recently, going through the various online games. Next thing I knew I heard one of the cartoon critters talking about Virtual Reality. They have a full game themed around VR:

My son already knew what it was though since he's seen me in my Rift and GO. But still, this is a very young market (Nick Jr.) and yet another example of how VR is going mainstream.
