Oculus Medium December Challenges

For the holidays, join the Oculus Medium December Challenges and enter to win 3D prints! 3 weeks, 3 challenges, 3 3D print winners! If you participate in all three challenges, you enter to win our Grand Prize, a 3D printed chess set made in Medium!

Rules:

Use the base sculpt of the week, downloadable from the Medium Newsfeed.
Submissions must be made in Medium only.
Submit three (3) photos and/or a (1) 20-second video of your final sculpt.
Submission screenshots and videos must be taken with Medium internal photo and video tools.
One entry per participant.
Must be 18 year or older, must be in located in 50 U.S states or D.C. to win.
Submissions must be original designs!

Submission:

Email submission of 3 photos and/or 1 20-second video to: medium@oculus.com

Judging Criteria:

60 points: Design creativity and uniqueness

30 points: Interpretation and clarity of theme to the judges/viewers

10 points: Presentation (choice of pictures or video will not be counted against submission)

Judges: Members of the Medium team.

@naomi.cornman can we post our sculpts publicly while it's still running?

Edit: Just noticed this "must be in located in 50 U.S states or D.C. to win."
I guess I can do what I want then as I can't win

Same as the Halloween one. I'm noticing a pattern here. Part of operation - make 'murrica great again? My bet is they're gonna sculpt a wall and make medium users pay for it

Sorry guys! It's an ongoing change we want to make for our contests and is something we have to work out with our Legal team! Hopefully you can participate in the next one... and doesn't mean you can't sculpt to these themes too!

I think I've bitten off more than I can chew with this sculpt, no way Im gonna finish it for tomorrow but will post my progress tomorrow night and then work on it some more later

Hey! Thanks man! I actually use Medium in production, so don't get a ton of time to do it for fun. Errr. Non work fun, it's always fun.

Thanks much, @FrozenPea. I was kind of on the fence on submitting it. I wanted to add more fur and other features, but I started it on Monday and ran out of time. After next week's challenge maybe I'll come back and touch it up.

Disappointed that I won’t be able to participate. The contest will end on the beginning of my time off work and the first day of having my computer setup again.
