Oculus Touch devices stop responding during some games

Recently I've noticed that my Oculus Touch controllers regularly time out or "fall asleep". Basically, I'll be playing a game without any problems, and then suddenly the thumb stick will stop responding, and I have to touch X or A to get the controller to start responding again, and then everything is fine for a few more minutes.

I've noticed this primarily (exclusively?) in games that are designed to use the Xbox controller.

Does anyone know what's going on here or how to stop it? I couldn't find any user-adjustable settings related to controller timeouts.

Unfortunately this is due to a relatively new bug in the Touch firmware. Oculus is aware of the issue but it doesn't seem to be priority for them despite it being an issue for a growing number of games including Skyrim and Elite Dangerous. For details please see this thread.

We actually did start working on fixing this issue. I'm not sure if it made it into a public release yet. Let me check with the team and see where this landed. Thanks.
