If they do wait until May, then they officially missed their "early 2018" deadline. Even if it's the first day of May lol
As long as they launch before the second half of the year, its still early 2018 in business speak.
Last I checked, May is the fifth month, not sixth.
Yup. when we quote a job and say sometime early week that means any day before mid-week.
Q2 in business speak is still early 2018
Dividing the year by 4:
If GO comes out in May then they hit their taget "Mid-Year," not Early. At least not if we're using official terms.
🙂
Q2 can still be considered "early" since April is in Q2; but once you get in to May... sploitz.
Technicalities lol

Anyone wager if these will be available outside of the Oculus store in places like Amazon. To avoid the dreaded delays. I expect these to be quite popular when May 1st comes round.

Maybe it's different in other parts of the region, but what I'm more familiar with is... if someone says "early" then you divide the Calendar by 3. And when you say "Quarterly" we divide by 4.
Dividing the year by 3:
- Early = Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr
- Mid = May, Jun, Jul, Aug
- Late = Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec
Dividing the year by 4:
- Q1 = Jan, Feb, Mar
- Q2 = Apr, May, Jun
- Q3 = Jul, Aug, Sept
- Q4 = Oct, Nov, Dec
If GO comes out in May then they hit their taget "Mid-Year," not Early. At least not if we're using official terms.

Oculus have sent Oculus Go headsets to reviewers apparently:

I'd say that's a nailed on certainty that it's going to release on 1st May.
