You guys in your 40s are babies. You will be here when a headset is as light and small as glasses. I'll be gone or on my way out.

Fortunately for the older mob, you can have great fun with VR right now and i expect we'll all be experiencing something much better within 5 years.

    I am one of 60+
I have always been passionate about computers and video.
As I went from video cassette to laser disc and DVD to Blue Ray all looked on televisions, projector tri-tube (85 kg the beast), then LCD then laser ...
For the computer I started on a Wang well before Appel released his first computer (I probably bought all versions), then passed to the IBM PC and a large number of models that have been sited here .
I hope to live long enough to see the culmination of VR and maybe holography.

Cheers!  I'm 73 years youngish. Yeah, Dragon32 was my first too.  I remember being well cheesed off 'cos my mate had the 64K version. I upgraded to AtariXL and taught myself machine code programming, then switched to an Atari ST with a hard drive! If you wanted a decent game you had to code it yourself back in the day.   :D

You got my respect, and you have a similar history to me, I just went from Spectrum to Atari ST.

My brain couldn't get beyond BASIC. Would have liked to learn machine code but all I managed in m/c was a screen scrolling routine. After reading several books and many hours messing about with frustratingly fussy compilers (Blast for the Spectrum & STOS on the ST), BASIC in the end had to suffice!

Wow... So many birthdays this month. Just had mine a couple days ago, myself.
I wonder what the birthday distribution is for forum users; wonder if there is any unexpected clusterings during the year.

My birthday is the same day as my brother's. I was born on his third birthday, and he's hated me ever since lol :D
