EDIT 5

GeForce RTX 2080 3DMark Time Spy Benchmark Leak Approaches Titan Xp Performance

EDIT 4

Nvidia 2080 first benchmarks:

Nvidia Shares RTX 2080 Test Results: 35 - 125% Faster Than GTX 1080

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-rtx-2080-gaming-benchmarks-rasterized,37679.html

Under certain conditions, 50%< most likely across the board without the use of AI-powered anti-aliasing.

We’re not expecting to average 50%-higher frame rates across our benchmark suite. However, enthusiasts who previously speculated that Turing wouldn’t be much faster than Pascal due to its relatively lower CUDA core count weren’t taking underlying architecture into account. There’s more going on under the hood than the specification sheet suggests.

This is what I mentioned earlier. Now the 2080 Ti has almost 50% more Turing CUDA cores than the 2080, holy shit, that thing is going to be a beast.

So that'll be £799 spot on with my 1st guess !!! Who wants to give me 800 quid, I'll happily sell @snowdog for that price and you'll get another forum member as a bonus 😉

if the 2080 is £799 in general (and not just an outlier water cooled card or summat) then i will be either hanging on to my gtx 980 or buying a 2nd hand 1080ti.
to be honest i kind of want to get on the ti level anyway, they generally offer "ok" bang for your buck over the vanilla xx80 card considering the extra performance you get for the extra price.
Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR 🙂

I have a feeling the market will be a bit flooded from the rush to sell current cards because GPU miners are looking at other options instead to make the most money. This means massive sell offs of 5 to 10 GPUs once the new cards hit.

I'll have anyone's old 1080ti, free to my home 😉

Im keeping my 1080, will be using it as a secondary rendering card ... though will need to re-think the watercooling now 😐

It will be interesting to see if these estimates are correct:

I wouldn't be happy for "8% faster than 1080 Ti". Less than 10% more performance than 1080 Ti would not be much of a flagship - it would just be the performance you'll get from an oc'ed 1080 Ti. And 3k for Titan RTX would not make me happy either. But let's not get carried away with such estimates, I can't wait to see Anandtech test the 2080.

You have no idea of the depraved things you will have to do with my wobbly bits to get yourself $800 lol 😮
