I'm going to use this opportunity for a shameless plea to have a VR table top strategy game like this. It would be so cool to play toy soldiers with CoH animations and campaigns in VR. Please, please, please!

Anyway, Company of Heroes 2 if free to download and keep over on Steam, until Monday. If you haven't played this game, don't miss out.

Intel 5820K OC@4Ghz, Titan X (Maxwell), 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4, ASRock X99 Taichi, Samsung 500Gb 960 Evo M.2, Corsair H100i v2 Cooler, Inateck KTU3FR-4P USB 3 card, Windows 10 Pro v1903 (18362.239)

It's not 100 % the same, but you do get to control some soldiers and need to use some level of strategy/tactics, and I've had great fun in this game - the single player campaign is quite awesome:

Intel i7 7700K (4.5 GHz); MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Gaming X (oc 2100 MHz boost, 11 Ghz ram); 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 MHz; MSI Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC (VR-Ready) mainboard; Samsung 960 Evo M.2 SSD + Toshiba P300 HD; Windows 10 OS; Oculus Rift CV1 - nearly always using super sampling 2.0.

Forgot the direct link to Landfall:

BTW, this game has truly awesome graphics, an 86 % average rating based on more than 200 ratings - and is highly polished. So this isn't your average Rift game, it may be the best Rift game within it's genre. Textures are top notch, I'm forcing super sampling 2.0 with no trouble. Yeah, I should get back to playing that game - after Regatta, and Chronos, and Evasion, sigh...
