How To Get Logs For Bug Reports for Consumer Rift (1.3+)

If you are experiencing issues either installing or using the consumer Rift hardware or software package (1.3 or newer), then please be sure to provide the following logs when reporting the issue.

If your issue is with the setup installer, either having errors or not completing, do these steps.

Open a File Explorer window and paste this in the URL field:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Oculus\
Then look for "OculusSetup.log" and upload it to your post. Please do *not* just copy/paste the text into the post area, as this becomes difficult to read. This folder may be hidden. Make sure you go into the Folder Options and choose Show Hidden Files and Folders first.

If you are having any other sort of problem after the installation, do the following.

Run "OculusLogGatherer.exe" by double-clicking the icon after navigating to this folder:
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics
and upload the zip file to your post.

tried driver version 388 after DDU clean (safe mode) but no change at all. Attached log files, hope they help identify issue.somehow

I have tried the steps mentioned above, but after the last update I am also experiencing black screen with a notification about my HMD disconnecting. everything goes black but then comes back after 5 or so seconds.   I have noticed that my rift now connects as USB 2.0 and not USB 3.0.  My sensor is plugged into the same fresco usb card and always says connected as USB. 3.0...

help the app loading wheel just keeps spinning and the app wont actually open

Can someone walk me through that process? I'm still getting a little weirdness after 1.12 and figure it might be a good idea to do like some others did and open up a ticket with Oculus and send my logs. One problem, I've never "sent logs." Hehe, I literally have no clue how to do that or what that entails.

I am having extensive issues with my Oculus. 

On reviewing the logs I noticed some issues regarding USB3, so I moved the headset off of USB3.

This change seemed to make the difference between barely being able to start. And working for a couple of minutes.

I just need to know if it's a driver issue, or whether the headset is kaput.

HDMI not detected -jv1bhtux8vcd.png noticed an update 12 hrs prior to testing when i got back from my vacation. now im struggling to install the headset.
anyone having similar issues? its impossible for the goggles to just die since i left. i think a firmware updated killed it.

Similar issue; headset was working fine, after a recent driver update HDMI and USB3.0 port isn't detected. Tried everything; move the connections around, reinstall Oculus, sacrifice a rubber chicken. Nothing works. Extremely frustrating.

The pc and drivers are freshly installed.
