I did some digging around my C drive and found a folder labled OculusSetup-DownloadCache and decided to delete it. The location where you can find it is Local Disk C:>OculusSetup-DownloadCache. Delete this folder and try downloading again. I got stuck at 1.83GBs when downloading recently and it never went past that spot. Once I deleted the file and tried it again, it blew right past that spot due to my internet speed. Hope this helps you if not anyone else that reads this method.

@cinatech if you've had a problem using Oculus software offline, fine, I hope that gets sorted out for you. The forum can be a good place to get advice from helpful members.

Resurrecting an old thread because you're annoyed about another issue isn't so helpful unless you want to contribute knowledge towards that specific problem.

Let's try and keep the forum useful and friendly, thanks.

With respect. I'm resurrecting this thread because THIS is exactly what else I had to deal with trying to work out why the Oculus software no longer allows offline use without presenting dash errors. Eventually it was admitted to be a bug with 1.42. But the communication is so poor that there are people on this forum still trying to workout the dash error issue. Tell them. Respond to questions. Don't just respond to threads if someone pokes your ego with some sarcasm.

After 5 attempts and around 50gb later. Success! This download interruption stuff was happening back in 2017!! I'm not even joking. I can't believe this isn't rectified now in 2019 especially when the forums are littered with the same problem.

Now to keep this post 'useful'. Allow me to share my fix on how to get around this download issue in case anyone else has an issue. (And I am deadly serious, this is how I fixed it).

1) Try to download (wait for 7gb at 5mbps to come through)
2) When it gets stuck. Close App, Delete the Oculus Cache folder, restart PC
3) Try to download (wait for 7gb at 5mbps to come through)

10)Success. Congratulations. You have installed Oculus.

I'm having the same problem.

On top of that once the App is finally installed (after several reboots) the app itself does not recognize my Rift S headset!

My PC does have all the necessary hardware and software listed on the Oculus site (and my PC even detects the Rift S)

Support Team can't even help me.

Same issue here. 7.20/7.28 GB downloaded and suddenly it just gave up, still reporting downloading but not actual data transfer occuring. I'm with cinetech -- this is bullshit and should have been addressed long, long ago, especially since the Oculus (Facebook apparently?) entity demands that we download a fucking operating system's worth of data from their anemic file servers in order to make their expensive hardware work! What could go wrong? Everybody has cheap infinite internet, right?!?!? NO!!! My internet is cellular and not limitless, so this is going to take a lot of time and cost me real money for bandwidth to download this package repeatedly.
Neat VR equipment Oculus! When does it start working?
