Will these controllers work with the Rift?

in Oculus Rift S and Rift
I took a break from gaming for a while, so some things may have changed. This page https://www.oculus.com/rift-s/accessories/ says the Oculus Touch controllers require the Rift S. My question is will they work with the original Rift? I don't want to just assume they do.

    My guess is no, but I haven't seen any official confirmation either way.

    Yeah, I haven't either, after trying multiple search criteria. It specifically says they require the "Rift S", so since they intentionally left out "Rift", I take that as no. Thanks!

    Digression: hitting Ctrl+Left arrow or Ctrl+Right arrow takes the cursor to the beginning of the line, and the end of the line, respectively, which makes no sense, and is beyond annoying. Why would they code this forum that way?
