I've been using a seagate 1 tb hard drive for my media streaming over DLNA with no problems. I recently got a WD elements 2 tb drive and my oculus won't find it in the folders area in skybox or pigasus. Any help would be greatly appreciated

A PC with lots of gadgets inside and a thing to see in 3D that you put on your head.

Looking at the Sandisk Connect, the biggest capacity is 256GB. The drive in my setup is 4TB. But looking on Amazon, WD also makes a 4TB My Passport Wireless Pro. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MT60Q7Z

But I just realized something...the wireless MyPassport only does 802.11a...a maximum of 54Mbps. The Sandisk Connect seems to do 802.11a/b/g/n, with n being the fastest, for a maximum of 300Mbps. My Pi does 802.11ac, at a maximum 450Mbps. 4K @60 fps videos need a minimum 50Mbps over wifi, and more than that for 5K...though the Quest can't handle 5K. Just make sure the thing can handle what you want.

the sandisk 256 is the internal memory. You can also add a micro sd card to have more memory. For me it is quite enough to store a whole lot of movies to watch on vacation etc.

First, check the format of the drive as Oculus has issues with NTFS, it prefers FAT32 so you may need to reformat your drive for it to be recognized. This normally fixes most drive recognition issues.

I don't think the Quest even has external hard drive through usb-c support, only through a NAS and wifi. Even the Oculus Go doesn't officially support external storage...yet, but you can still access files on usb through JS USB OTG, sideloaded to the Go, and it does NTFS, exFAT as well as Fat32.

As for the NAS...it handles whatever format the drive is, and sends the files as needed. The drive attached to my Raspberry Pi NAS is NTFS.
