Выключение DP происходит постоянно как только я подношу шлем к голове - появляется черный экран, через 1-2 минуты может включиться изображение комнаты с сообщением о критической ошибке и неисправности оборудования, после чего в разделе устройств настроек шлем отключен от DP и опять всё темнеет, на экране ничего нет. При подключении к Beta сообщение об отключении USB 3.0 вроде бы пропали.

    Да, и что такое PTC? Программа Oculussetup с официального сайта, а что она ставит я не понял...

    Home2 only eats up your CPU and GPU when you are in your home.  When you start a game it basically goes to 0% usage with a bit of it retained in memory.  You can prove this yourself by running windows task manager after starting your game.

    You can also try bypassing home2 by just selecting your games from your Oculus desktop App and when it starts up, put on your headset.

    If your games are suffering it's either because you have too little memory (really should have at least 16Gb ram now days) and/or too high graphics setting (including SS).

    Update has cured the HMD tracking  problem here, so thank you Oculus!


    The update was a little unintuitive as I started the desktop software and the updated downloaded and asked me to perform the update. I agreed and the Oculus desktop software shutdown and restarted, but when it came back up, all I had was a large empty white window with the blue spinning mouse cursor.


    I waited for about 5 minutes as I could see the HDD light flashing away, so thought it was doing it's thing. but after the HDD light stopped, I was still looking at a large empty white window with the blue spinning mouse cursor.


    I waited another couple of minutes, but nothing changed, so was about to reboot, but thought I'll just put the HMD on and check.. Low and behold there was a modal message in the HMD asking me to click a button to continue the update. as soon as I did that, the white window updated and the install completed successfully.  Phew.  Glad I didn't just reboot!

    That's the way PTC versions work.  Like them or leave them, lol!  

    Personally I usually try most PTC's like 1.40.  Unless I see a significant difference I go back to the current stable version (1.39.1 in my case).  Once all the bugs are ironed out I'm sure 1.40 will be fine as a stable version.

    Well, all was fixed, devices all green, haven't seen a phantom third right controller until last night. Fired up No Man's Sky (wow! great game!) and at some point all freezes. Oculus had gone into convulsions and had to hard boot the oculus app and when it came back. third phantom right controller and right controller battery error and now for the first time since 1.40, it cannot be deleted as before. AAARRRGH. There, that feels a little better now.

    I just opt-in into the PTC for the "Collect All"-option and the "Collect All" button is not there for me. Found this thread on reddit with screenshots https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/cmzbuw/how_do_i_collect_all_loot_boxes_in_oculus_home/
    I'm on Rift CV1 and havent collected rewards for a year or so. Already tried restarting PC, restarting Oculus Software, and signing out and back into my account in the Oculus software.

    I asked around about this one and it seems that the "Collect All" feature is not available to all users at this time, as it is rolling out slowly to everyone within 1.40. It is expected that some users will not see the button at this time. Apologies for the confusion and the additional wait.

    I updated, everything is fine for me and collect all was there. All warnings gone, all green.

    And, 9 days later, we find that this was never going to be a problem.

    They thought about it, decided to do a progressive roll out of this feature, but didn't bother to tell their customers.

    After last 1.40PTC Fix update pop up error gone,but stayed issue close and re-starting HOME and DASH when you take off and then put on your helmet again :(((
    in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Oculus\  error report OculusClientError -> Server closed connection 
    back to 1.39PTC again

    i tried to use the oculus mic again, and realise now that its not working anymore, even not after i replugin the headset. seems 1.40 killed the mic completly

    Tried Beat Saber yesterday....loosing tracking is still a thing with 1.40. Was not playable yesterday, the whole time i lose the tracking

    • Removed the need to indicate what direction is forward when setting up Guardian. This Oculus...this is a no no. All this does is make my floor area look crooked and no way to fix it. I can be looking directly at my monitor and my floor is shifted to the right. Put this feature back in please. Not 100% sure if this is the cause but if it is put this feature back in.

    For me PTC 1.40 is sort of a mixed bag. I am able to play Unspoken again, but the setup of my room guardian is not preserved. Almost every reboot i have to set it again. Meanwhile i turned it off. Not an issue for what I use the rift in general, flight sims. Unspoken without guardian works too, as it is fairly static play.

    I did not read all the posts in this thread, just wanted to mention that 1.40 worked ok on my Rift CV1, but the carpet under the table was flickering. I have the standard Oculus Home with the big frigate, never bothered changing much, so very close to the default home.
    Intel i7 7700K (4.5 GHz); MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Gaming X (oc 2100 MHz gpu boost, 11 GHz mem speed); 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 MHz; MSI Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC (VR-Ready) mainboard; Samsung 960 Evo M.2 SSD + Toshiba P300 HD; Windows 10 OS; Valve Index and Oculus Rift CV1 - the latter nearly always using super sampling 2.0.
