i think you were unlucky or did you send them off on a really hard mission?    I have done 4 so far, 3 were successes and 1 ended with my ship getting mullared and i needed 150 silver to fix.

they are profitable however and worth sticking with. maybe stick with 1* difficulty for now?.

I’ve done a few 1* and 2* missions with my single original frigate. I thought, with two new higher level ones along, they could handle a 3* one, but nope. I guess I overestimated the new guys.

DK2, CV1, Go, Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3.

Apart from the 5* missions, if you can raise a fleet that is 1 or 2 (3 or 4 even) stars higher than the requirement there is a strong liklihood they will return unmolested.

If you have a reasonable Combat ship free for a mission adding it to the non-combat ones (providing you can stack the stars still) will also help.
Support ships are also useful if they have a mixed stats and can push up the required one.

What is the best way of getting those crystals for making starship fuel?  do you literally just grub around on planets until you have enough to make a bunch of 200 sized blocks of fuel?

I know there is the refinery exploit but I am not doing that.

Thanks

PS i only just realised it seems i missed an entire story arch tree as i am 25hrs in and not done any of the base unlocks yet to get myself a buggy!.
Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR 🙂

If you're talking about di-hydrogen for frigate fuel, you can refine four hydrogen jellies (50:1) or tritium to get it quickly. For your starship's launch thruster, there's an upgrade that recharges it over time. I never bother collecting di-hydrogen crystals anymore.

You can get exocraft (buggies) without doing any of the base-building missions, they're available to unlock from the research tech vendor on the anomaly.

Hello. My name is Harv. I'm a VRoholic. It's been 13 days since I've used VR (well, apart from setting up the Rift that I gave a mate of mine in Margate) and I'm not feeling good. At all.

I long to see the flora and fauna of No Man's Sky. I long to see Coriolis space stations. I long to see tits in my face watching VR porn.

I'm back to civilisation tomorrow.

Fucking hell. 😄

Well the first step is admitting you have a problem.  And you've done it publicly.  Now, you're ready to get back on the horse and into VR.  Tits and planets are waiting for you.  Can you walk through the door?

The shuttle I just bought to replace my original ship came with efficient launch thrusters along with a launch system recharger.  I'll never have to spend a single minute making launch fuel anymore.  The purchase price of the ship was worth that feature alone.

Just got back now. I'm going in, I might be some time. My friend Roz stayed here for a couple of days while I was away and she's tidied the place up. Took me half an hour to find my bloody mouse lol  😄

Won't take me long to get everything untidy again though lol

You're lucky I'm thinking of leaving my job and traveling in space full time.  In the '60s as a young kid.  space travel was everywhere on the news we learned all about it in school.  Now I'm at a dead-end job that keeps me out of No Man's Sky
and going to and from work I think about what I should be doing and the list keeps getting longer.  Get a VR headset to let a cat eat your mouse and do not drop out of the sky live in VR.  No telling how long it will take the government to let everyone live on the moon.

Things got harder for me last night. I went back to ED to get that practically free thargoid bobblehead ,(1 arx cost for a few days only).
Now I have 2 never ending space games trying to steal my life and the minor issue of a family and house to look after as well.

For the love of the universe does anyone know how to undo wiring?!  I built a solar panel and battery at my base which now powers my teleporter.  However I have some wires I want to get rid of. The game tells me to press 'A' to delete, so I do it and nothing happens - the wires don't go away.
And because of my shiny new solar panel, my days using that crappy biofuel reactor are now over.  However, I can't disconnect the damn thing or pick it up or get rid of it.  If it's because it's wired, well as I mentioned I can't undo any freaking wiring.
