I got a small nick in my CV1 headset cable so now I can’t get any hdmi signal to the headset. I looked to purchase a new cable but of course they don’t exist in the website anymore. Raised a support ticket and after days of diagnosis etc I now get a message saying they’ve determined the nick in the cable is causing the issue (duh!!!!!) but they only provide cables to people still under warranty and can’t provide me a new cable. They “hope I understand”. No!! I frigging don’t!!! Is a god damn cable, not like I’m asking for new display panels or anything! So now I have a dead unit cause you can’t provide a simple damn cable!!! NOT HAPPY!
I have no doubt the user voice will surpass "Optical handtracking for Rift S" as the #1, top idea to Oculus especially as more persons require a replacement CV1 cable at regular use, etc. Oculus can't even be bothered to make a statement on it and support reps tell you to just buy a Rift S if out of warranty.
Personally, I have abandoned Oculus and will no longer purchase their products due to the high likelihood of their doing it again with Rift S, etc. I have ZERO consumer confidence and I will not be a facebook product.
