From the bits I've learned about MOH, I'm not expecting much. I think it will be like a series of mini games. I don't think they're making the hardcore shooter that MOH is known for. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

So far, only Asgard's Wrath has delivered a genuine AAA sized 40+ hour gaming experience.

Yes, it would seem from the leaks that the path taken has changed from the original intention and rather than like HLA with a 40+ hour play environment, MOH will be a mini-game experiences, building off of the Vader Immortal scope.
I am not sure how much of the change comes from the recent considerable departures seen from the dev team, or if this was the plan from the start and the operation was keeping this quiet till they felt best to reveal. The wounds are still pretty fresh after RockBandVR so I can understand that they feel a 30+ hour game environment is not for them.

Well most of us could have told them they would have a limited audience with RockBandVR. We are not the Wii crowd. Just bad research of the market.

Bad news if it is another Vader, I only bought the first one as its just a limited short experience as good as it was.

I sure hope that is not the case, would be a big shame.

Seems "bad research" is a recurring situation with numerous of the management that passed through these doors.

This is actually a good point. I can't recall a moment in the last few years where a mass survey has been conducted specifically asking what sort of content VR users would like to see in VR. I know this would be unusual for pancake gaming but due to the nature of VR you would think an obvious way to gauge what people are interested in. I think what happens is we get projects the developers and those funding are fans of, not the other way round. Well, the onus is on them then if they fail.

Did you read something specific saying or suggesting that it would be a series of mini games?  Not trying to argue here -- just curious.  If that's what it turns out to be, I will be significantly less interested in the game.

Sadly the "onus" is on the VR community - none of the original management are involved with the project, and those that remain blame those that have left the company for the failure, and take the blame for the successes. It was the concern some of us had at the beginning... while we stirred the pot!  B)

I wonder if Lone Echo 2 could be much bigger than Medal of Honor, but Medal of Honor of course connects directly to the pancake horde.

To me Lone Echo 2 is the next big thing from Oculus.

Regarding the Story, nothing in VR has moved me more than Lone Echo. Maybe Alyx will, but I'm not sure. Of course Lone Echo 2 is a sequel, and for movies that might not be a good sign, still Aliens was awesome, lol.

The issue with "big" sales is the penetration with the audience. Half Life is a title that resonates with a massive audience, while Lone Echo is a popular VR title, but its name penetration is restricted to the VR community. It was interesting to see how acquiring big IP was a recipe for  success, and now after HLA it seems to be more about market perception.
