If you, like me, feel the hit detection is sometimes glitchy (hits not registering) with deadeye modifer on, then you were right, and the devs are now working on a fix! \o/

Just bit the bullet and got this game.  Quite fun.

Update is out with a new map. Song gets a bit on my nerves, but the map itself is really good.
Also a decent amount of bug fixes, most importantly concerning beat sync drift which was driving me crazy.

Changelog:
  • Added "Akuma" scene (three difficulties)
  • Fixed double vision rendering issue for AMD GPU
  • Fixed one-eye only rendering issue (including Windows 7)
  • Revamped timing calculations to resolve potential desync
  • Adjusted metronome haptics timing
  • Introduced "beat combo" and "on-beat %" to end result details
  • Homogeonized leaderboard details
  • Fixed reversed score breakdown in leaderboard details
  • Floor visualization now disables during "nobeat" sections
  • Removed erroneous badge indicator
  • Fixed enemy geo collision issues in some areas
  • Fixed geo to geo collision issues in some areas
  • Fix for ranged pistol whip exploit
  • Improved clarity of difficulty buttons
  • Fix for crouched enemy sequence used in "R U Afraid"
  • Improved some enemy synchronization in "The Fall"
  • Improved some enemy spawns in "Trap Requiem"
  • Minor bug fixes to "Death", "Lilith", "Download the Future"

Tried it yesterday, nice map, but feels like more of the same. Constantly shooting black men - is that politically correct content? 😉 
Would be nice with more variation - maybe some sort of boss fight - my interest in the game hasn't exactly grown lately and a new level with more black men to kill didn't wow me.

Just for the record - if you have a GTX1080/RTX2060 or better - you can totally max out super sampling at 2.5 on the Rift CV1 and still get solid 90 fps in Pistol Whip  😮

Now, going from ss 2.0 to 2.5 may not be that easy to spot, but it's definitely there and I'd say offers more image quality improvement than going from anisotropic filtering x8 to x16, lol. 
Just be careful and make a profile for Pistol Whip in Oculus Tray Tool if you're going for the ultimate CV1 image quality and best ever 3D depth perception - because entering Oculus Home with ss 2.5 nearly crashed my rig - but it works perfectly in less demanding games like Lucky's Tale and Pistol Whip (probably many more, maybe Space Pirate Trainer too).
