display port problem seems unfixable

I'm going to run through the last day of events. My rift s is on and detecting i'm there, yet the display port is not being detected, I have tried seemingly everything, but nothing has worked so far.
List of things I have tried:
1) unplugging the USB and display port, plugging back in the USB, waiting 5 seconds, and then plugging back in the display port.
2) unplugging the headsets cable, and then plugging it back in.
3) Opting for the public test channel
4) Updating my Oculus drivers, graphics card, and windows version (all were up to date)
5) Restarting Oculus via the beta tab in the settings
6) Restarting my computer DOZENS of times
7) Combining 1, 5 and 6
😎 Contacting Oculus support (no answers)
9) Contacting every discord I could find about VR, (no working answers)
10) I even tried praying and crying, but in the morning nothing changed, no surprise there

Oculus is not supporting the rift.  $400 is a steep price to pay to
learn about scumbags.  let me see if i can find out who they are.

Well this doesn't bode well!

Brendan Iribe.  "In 2012, he got together with palmer luckey to
start a kickstarter campaign for the Oculus Rift VR Headset bringing in
about $2.4 million.  Iribe took the position of CEO at the newly founded
oculus vr. In December 2016, he stepped down from the role of CEO and
decided to lead its newly created PC VR group.

As of October 2018, Brendan announced in a Facebook post he would be

departing Oculus and its parent company Facebook, with no mentioned

future plans."-wikipedia

Probably stay away from anything this guy touches!

Michael Antonov  "A co-founder of the Facebook-owned virtual reality

"On August 7, 2013, Carmack joined oculus vr as their cto. On
November 22, 2013, he resigned from id software to work full-time at
Oculus VR. Carmack's reason for leaving was because id's parent company
zenimax media didn't want to support Oculus Rift.  Carmack's role at
both companies later became central to a ZeniMax lawsuit against Oculus
parent company facebook, claiming that Oculus stole ZeniMax's virtual
reality intellectual property.

The trial jury absolved Carmack of liability, though Oculus and other

corporate officers were held liable for trademark, copyright, and

contract violations.

In February 2017, Carmack sued ZeniMax, claiming the company had

refused to pay him the remaining $22.5 million owed him from their

purchase of id Software.  By October 2018, Carmack stated that he and ZeniMax reached an

agreement and that "Zenimax has fully satisfied their obligations to

me", ending the suit.

On November 13, 2019, Carmack announced that he is stepping down

from the Oculus CTO role to become a "Consulting CTO" in order to

allocate more time to his work on artificial general intelligence (AGI)." -wikipedia

Well tried it with a powered USB hub and no luck.  Nvidia have just released a new update and tried it after updating and still the same.  I'm stuck with a Rift S, I just can't connect to my display ports!  Fucking ridiculous.  I know the ports are working and my only recourse now is to try a new pci-e usb board which is arriving tomorrow.  Then list everything I have done on my outstanding ticket with this awful customer service.

Please, tell me if your PCI-E usb board worked. Crossing fingers for you.

Well no joy with the powered PCI-e USB. Sometimes Device Manager recognises it as Rift S (with a yellow triangle - bad driver icon), sometimes it doesn't show at all.  Tried the PCE-e directly to mb card and same result display port won't connect.  I'll send all my troublshooting on my ticket and hopefully get a replacement or upgrade to a Oculus Quest. I have an IT expert coming over on the weekend to see if he can get it running and anything happens I'll post it here.
