I don't think you should be enrolled in the beta (Public Test Channel). Just go back to using the public release V17.

I don't use PTC anymore.  There is nothing much in the PTC for the Rift/S these days, and this time V18 the fixes for the quest are not even relevant for me.  Not used it since version 16 and the only reason I got that is because I forgot to un-check it - lol.

Odd, V18 just worked for me...
Perhaps I should make a post telling everyone to download it!
Always interesting to read such negative posts from folk who may not realise they are enrolled in a beta test stream and it may, or may not, have issues as yet unresolved :)

It would more than likely work for me too.  Why bother though if there is nothing in it for you?
I agree that the OP makes the wrong assumption that it will behave in a similar way for everyone, chances are it had nothing to do with the software.

All that said, Oculus has said:-
"Bear in mind that enrolling in the Public Test Channel means you'll be testing a beta version of the Oculus software that isn't a finished product, so you may encounter issues ranging from minor issues to app crashes."

So its not something I would recommend, but certainly not something I would say not to do either. And more importantly if you do install it and you have problems ITS YOUR FAULT!

    YMMV...
