Hey there, I found a new and exciting VR game.

The game is called Phasmophobia!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/739630/Phasmophobia/

You and a team of friends/investigators go to peoples houses etc.. and investigate haunted houses...  IN VR, its a absolute blast! but you can play on a monitor too.
I havent had this much fun in a long time!

Communication is a must, so please bring a mic. (communicating with crew and Spirit boxes, ghosts etc.. YES voice recognition for this game!)

Anyway, its $13 on steam... and im actually sore from gripping my controller in tense situations! TOO MUCH FUN!

Warning: If you scare easily please wear a diaper.

RuneSR2 - Not sure why you're so critical of the graphics man, I dont see them as too bad... did you play solo or with a group?

"I played solo - wasn't very impressed, the game felt like an early build that needed much more polish. Needs proper finger tracking too 😉 It felt like a 2D game with some mods to make it work in VR."

This is the problem man, its completely a group game! 🙂

I think its a generation thing, my Son who just turned 16 is playing games that are fun and doesn't seem to care how they look. Currently playing Fall Guy, this game, the one where you have to guess the murderer and my daughter (his twin) is still playing Minecraft.

You can see why they went full steam into the Quest 2, graphics don't seem as important to them as much as game play. I guess its a generation brought up on mobile phones which as lowered their expectations.

Agreed. If Minecraft taught us anything, it's that games can look like the Atari2600 days and thrive exceedingly well in today's market. Minecraft has launched beyond the game itself, and has become a widely successful franchise. It has a toy line, board games, Lego sets, a Netflix show, an absurd amount of spin-offs.

In all sincerity, I think it's great since I'm very nostalgic with older pixelated graphics. Atari and NES ruled my youth for so long. It warms my heart to see lower end graphic games being made so well and leading the overall market.

Someone re-created this game inside Roblox:

Been playing it with my 6 year old lol

The Roblox version is impressively identical. Only good to be played with kids, of course. But overall, I think it's great that Phasmophobia is doing so well.

This is still one of my favorite horror VR experiences of all time. I haven't been able to dedicated much time lately, but there is a huge update coming soon it would seem:

I was even playing the Roblox version with my 6 year old son during the pandemic lockdown.

Time for me to get back in to this game. The hardest part is that it is multiplayer, and I would rather organize sessions with people I know vs the general public.

If anyone is up for putting on some Adult Diapers and taking a walk along PeePee Pants City, then let me know!
