It's amazing how well the DK2 performs when coupled with a machine that can run it. Those two or three years, when everyone was arguing about extended vs direct, seem like a decade ago.

'Skip setup" if you have DK2. Setup not detecting HDMI is common for DK2, as it's not fully supported. Once the instilation is complete the headset will work perfectly.

People are not clinging to their DK2s, like some comfort-blanket, because they love them so much - they'll ditch it soon as CV2 is released.

The controller is also handy for accessing the Dashboard in SteamVR, if you ever feel the need to go there.

Disable Windows update and only update stuff specific to your machine, unless you want Microsoft to throw a spanner in the works.
