You were the crazy one to install a beta product right when you wanted a reliable product you were going to show everyone :P And the roll back of the beta will indeed work for this family show-off that you want to do, it’s not going to become mandat…
How do you click on something in Oculus Desktop? I point at an icon with a laser pointer, press the trigger, nothing. A, B, nothing. Left Touch controller instead of Right, nothing. I tried using my actual mouse, doesn't even show up. I then launche…
At the top there's a plaque, you have to look down at it until it highlights and then when you press the button it'll finish the level and earn you the stars for the level based on your speed. Make sure you are looking directly at the plaque.
If you have to go to links to figure out what you are talking about, then why are you even posting here asking for these things you don't understand?
Oculus's official SDK (which is required to develop for Oculus Rift, if you bypass it then yo…
What even are these LED timings you are trying to bash Oculus about? I'm a VR developer and I have no idea what you are talking about. Whatever they are they are useless to developers.
First off, make sure you are using the IPD adjustment tool from the configuration settings. That should show a cross made of thin lines. Then (as the directions say) tilt the headset up and down until one set of lines is sharp, then use the slider o…
But what is he concerned about, that's what I'm not getting. He hasn't experienced any problems himself, he saw one video of one guy having problems in one app throwing something, and wrote this whole "Lighthouses are so much better than Rift s…
I...don't get the point of this. You saw a video of one person having problems throwing something, and came up with this giant speculative theory as to why it was? Seems more like a stealth "Vive is better than Rift" post, considering that's what th…
That right there is what I believe to be the huge problem Oculus had, and why they disabled Revive back when they did so. Lucky's Tale isn't made by Oculus but another developer, and Oculus either pays the developer a certain amount for each un…
At the Penny Arcade Expo I visited a booth with an Oculus setup, what they did was leave the IPD slider at the middle, to handle most cases, and after each use they wiped the face-mask off.
The Rift software does have an IPD adjustment menu, where…
Job Simulator does, the developers first designed it for a large room-scale area, then went to a lot of effort to make it work great for everyone, creating multiple layouts for their different games for different layouts. Like I said, when I first p…
SLI does not currently work with the Rift or Vive, because the default SLI method of each card rendering every other frame causes a lot of latency. For VR, a game has to use nVidia's VR SLI or AMD's Liquid VR, where each card renders the view for on…
I'm just going by their patch notes, the part you quoted was from the huge December 3 Touch patch. There are no patch notes for last night's patch yet.
Definitely sounds like a maxed-out USB bandwidth issue. If so, you can fix it by buying a new USB card and putting at least one of the sensors on that one.
You guys and your fancy holders! I just have a basket hanging from my computer/console shelves, I dump the headset, Touch controllers, and clicker thing in there when I'm not using them :)
Facebook isn't driving it, though, is the trick. They said Oculus would be managing itself for at least 3 years as a separate company, using Facebook resources. Facebook in fact is working on social content as if they were a third-party Oculus devel…
I started playing The Unspoken last night, it is awesome. High quality production values, and the simple gameplay still makes for a pretty in-depth game (and I've only played the first of the classes). Some of the bits seem kinda gimmicky at first (…
