  • Don't let me down now HP, MS and Valve, i have convinced myself from absolutely no facts or evidence that this will be a Index lite or similar for £450 UK pounds with manual IPD and full steamVR support, but with a LCD panel, and even though i have …
  • ^^Not support the knuckles hardware but support the new controllers like they were knuckles at the basic level, so the thumbsticks and button work just as if you were using knuckles, minus the finger tracking and such, giving the new HMD full index …
  • ^^Yeap, if this new HMD matches say Quest and Rift S HMD price and also turns out to have full steamVR support with the index HMD then steamvr gamers are going to be all over, for me that would be a day one buy, a Oculus Rift S WMR clone with index …

Well i think this time we might be onto something with this new HMD and collaboration, as i see it HP make good HMDs, the WMR were and still are actually not bad HMDs from a per eye res and bang for buck standpoint, although the tra…
  • I would just ditch the Dell and Vive and replace it with this one, assuming it was basically supported on steamVr as a index lite or S, but i would have to keep the CV1 because i have bought software on the Oculus platform and revive seems to be wor…
  • ^^I will take one for £450 if it has complete steamVR support on par with the Index, so if a game works with the index it will work with this new HMD, and moreso the controllers basic fuctions like thumbstick and buttons, something that held back th…
  • ^^This could turn out to be a kind Index lite, or a index S if you will, meaning unlike a actual WMR HMDs, which have issues if they are not supported by steam vr game, this might be seen by SteamVR as a sort of index lite, and as such the controlle…
  • ^^LOL...i was just wishful thinking out loud on the fact that when HL appeared mods were raining from the sky, so i hope with this new HL:A engine mods again rain from the sky, and i suspect they will, and we might see some old ones appear on this n…
  • At the moment the Rift S is only a year old, so everyone in the EU/UK are covered for a 2 year manufactor warrenty, same with the Valve index, so no one over here really needs to buy a spare at this time, BUT, next year when these things are out of …
  • Day of Defeat VR incoming i suspect, loved that game back in the day. :)
  • ^^^It did indeed, the PS3 had some cracking 3d supported games back in the day. :)

Not at all, i still have my 3D projector and 110in screen packed away that i bought way back in(checks amazon), December 2014, and it was fantastic watching big 3d movies on a big screen in your home, but now with a couple of Oculus…
  • ^^Damn, reading through my above reply tells me that i should proof read more before i push that post button, and that my tablet keyboard is garbage, and i need to wear my glasses when typing, as my English teacher back in the day would, after readi…
  • I actually decided to dig out my WMR Dell to see how the game looked on that because it has a per eye res of 1440x1440, and i admit, it was super sharp and detailed, i mean it was biting sharp in its detail compared to the CV1 and Vive, and after a …
  • I remember the lenslock, i had that for the flying game Ace on the Vic-20, although if i remember correctly i could not get the lock to work on the massive eye popping 22in living room tv, but it worked on my 14in portable tv in the bedroom thankful…
  • ^^On the Amiga and Atari ST it could have been either B.A.T, or Robocop 3, both came with a hardware dongle that had to be in joyport 2 if i remember correctly, and if you lost the dongle you were out of luck, fantastic way to have drm, i remember B…
  • ^^Yeap very reason i never went there myself, even though i have a up to date virus program i still don't go near dodgy looking links as a rule of thumb, and you are spot on, i bet that site is riddled with browser hijacking goodies up the wazzo, so…
  • ^^^Oh i would lap up HL/HL2 with a VR mod.
  • (Quote)
Let's make it even more difficulut,  bring back the hardware piracy dongle, make one that is integrated into the headband of the HMD and is basically a beartrap around your head, Saw movie style wise, and you have to place the HMD …
  • ^^I wonder how strict Valve with be if anyone makes a mod that ports HL1+2 work with the HL:A engine, or at least makes the VR aspect of the HL:A engine work in the two two previous HL games.
  • ^^Domain was made 17 days ago, has low to no traffic and seems to be based in Turkey, and they are selling $75 Quests......my view is you should run, ran as fast as you can. lol
  • Call me Susan and slap with with a wet kipper if that .oculuwcs. don't look suspicious just by its name, never mind selling Quest for $75, and i ain't going to be the one that checks it out. lol Ok i just checked out when this doman was created and …
  • ^^Is the OP talking about the CV1 cables and not the Rift S cables as that is only a year old? (Ok i checked the website and the OP is right, no sign of the Rift S cable at all, not even showing out of stock, not even apictire of it, just gone) :o
  • Yeah my CV1 has been knocking it out the park of late due to the crisis, and playing HL:A with it was a utter joy, and it will be 3 years old next month so i hope it will last until the next gen of VR hardware appears because as point out by Tom abo…

  • ^^Refurb units are repaired with stock parts from the manufator as all manufators need to have a supply of spare parts avalible when they are selling a product, so all Oculus did here was take a broken unit, replace and repair the broken part, and r…
  • Yeah this crisis has been hitting the production of everything big time, but wait and see what they say, they may be a bit slower to respond due to said crisis but they will no doubt get in touch....but no treats for the cat, bad kitty. lol

Oh yeah, i think we are going to see some cracking VR stuff in 2021/22, the PSVR II will be well out by then and i suspect the rest of the industry including some new faces will have jumped onto the VR bandwagon at that point, we m…
  • ^^Most certainly, and you can bet HL:A not only helped sell the Index, but it helped push sales of the Quest and the Rift S also for HL fans wanting to play the game, and in that way everybody wins, gamers and hardware makers. ;)
  • I would say it might be the type of battery you might be using, i use 4 Energizer rechargeable batteries and i have been amazed at how long they last, i am getting just under a week on one set and that is using it a good few hours a day, moreso duri…
  • ^^Oh there is no doubt that the present crisis has hit sales of the game and VR hardware, so it will be interesting to see how it adds to those sales once the supply chain get back up to scratch, assuming it will in 2020, we just don't know with thi…
