Yep, I get a great Link experience with Quest 2 and Steam VR. Play Half Life Alex with high graphics and get a smooth detailed experience. My rig spec below. I'm using a StarTech SATA powered PCIe USB expansion card. Hope you find a solution.

If you have vr regatta on your PC you'll be able to play it on the Quest 2 via the Link Cable or wirelessly with Virtual desktop.

Velcro a counterweight to the rear of the headstrap. You could even use a USB power bank as the weight and get longer play times :)

The Quest 2 is way better visually than the Rift s, but you need a really good gaming PC to drive it to it's full potential.

One way is to use Voice Attack voice recognition software to make commands. A lot of VR fight sim pilots use it to great effect.

As everyone's PC specs are different, it's best to try everything and see. Be systematic in your analysis and you'll learn a lot along the way :)

If you go to settings, then experimental features, you can set passthrough camera so it activates when you tap the side of your headset twice. :)

Agreed, and there is more to an lens prescription than the lens power. There are other factors like astigmatism for instance.

Make sure you have it orientated correctly and there is no damage to the connections then push it in very firmly. It's a very tight fit and should eventually click home.

The only one I have used is GizmoVR. It was working great until the Oculus v23 update and now there is a bug which makes it unusable for me and others. I understand the devs are aware of this and are working on a fix.

Don't forget that the focal distance of most HMDs is around two metres, so you'll need a prescription to match that. Reading glasses are for less than arms length.

If you are using Quest 2 with link cable to your PC you change the resolution in the Oculus app on your PC. You don't really need to use the debug tool. This is assuming you have the version 23 update on Quest and PC.

Exactly. I got me a wifi 6 router a couple of days ago and set it up as a dedicated access point for the Quest 2. Works brilliantly. :)
