(post & title were edited on March 15th after I discovered that this is
an audio stutter issue not related to general performance issues)About a
couple of weeks ago I started getting really bad sound stutter when
using Link with Quest (1 gen). By stu...
I recently bought the official link cable but my computer didn't have a
USB-C port. So I also got a PCIe card to add a USB-C port to my PC. The
card has an ASMedia chipset, so of course I figured that I should
install a driver provided by ASMedia. Bu...
Just wanted to share my experience - as a new Quest owner - with Virtual
Desktop and the aforementioned title. I got HL: Alyx a few days ago and
tried it first with Link, using a USB 2.0 cable. I know it's not ideal,
and I did see artifacts and bandi...
After hearing that Oculus Link now supports USB 2 cables, I decided to
make the switch from my Rift CV1. I've tried Link with a cheapo USB-C to
USB-A cable + active USB 2 extender and for the most part it works,
despite getting the Oculus app warning...
I'm contemplating getting a Quest and the official Link cable, but sadly
neither my graphics card or motherboard has a USB-C port. I've read that
the Link works with a simple USB-C to USB-A adapter. But will this kind
of setup keep the Quest charged ...

was unable to find the fix in the Oculus home release notes, but I
tested last week and Link audio is working as intended, at least with my
Quest 1. I'm glad this was resolved, e...
@Yobiwan29 using Bluetooth headphones is not an ideal workaround. In my
experience there is a small but noticeable delay in the audio with many
BT headphones. In VR the delay is easier to spot than with flat screen
gaming because the delay affects th...
@bobogoogleyfet same here. Just installed the latest beta driver and
there's no change. Let's hope that this doesn't become a new issue like
the Link microphone bug, where an update breaks something and it's just
basically never fixed.
Ok, I found a lot of posts on Reddit about the same issue, and indeed it
seems that it appeared in the v25 update. Someone got a reply from
Oculus support where they suggested installing the latest beta
driver:https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/com...
@Fangzhou is your issue with the sound as well? I think this weekend I
will try and see if the problem is still there. @Fangzhou wrote:There is
a Oculus Link microphone problem, which was introduced on Oculus Link
