Any thoughts on a rating system for amount of motion sickness You will
experience?Sorry to keep harping on this but it seems like motion
sickness is no longer the rift'sfault but the fault of the game itself.
And some developers are going to power th...
One of the concerns I have with VR development is I don't see a lot
happening from a bottom up approach. What I mean is first figuring out
what works in VR... and then making something. There's seems to be a lot
of top down development going on where ...
It seems like Kinect or a kinect-like camera Optimized for VR is the
best of all worlds. You trade precision for easy of use. No strapping
into harnesses or getting in treadmills. I'm willing to make that trade
andI think a custom camera could be opti...
I'm wondering what you guys think about Presence and which if any demos
showcase it best. After watching the Sony GDC conference they really
drove the point home of how important this is.I tried to achieve

$400 sort of puts it in the range of real devs only. I'm just a hobbyist
not sure if the changes warrant upgrading yet.I've already done

It's good that there's a warning screen. The other day I started
developing an eye problem. I'm not blaming the rift but I suspect it has
to do with having a bright screen too close to my eyes. I think it
caused a blood vessel to burst in my retina a...
I think they should also do a developer survey since individual user
experience varies so much. If you can come up with standardized ratings
just based on the developer survey, users can roughly determine which
level of simulation they can handle.
Twitchmonkey I think you're on to something here. I'm a baby so I'm
looking for ratings of 0/0Originally I was thinking users could just
rate their experience.Which might not work since it's so subjective. But
if there is some criteria laidout like y...
