Great idea! I love the thought of people who can't use their hands have the chance of using something like this to create and inspire themselves.

    Good luck with it!

Thank you for your comments. :D

Our main idea was to give opportunity to people (who has no ability to draw by hands in real life) to feel unlimited possibilities to draw as an artist with virtual paints, canvas and brush.
It will open new world for people with disabilities where they just would just require head movement to create a beautiful painting.

But after a while we find out that it would be an interesting experience for all types of people regardless of whether they have disability or not.

Thank you for your feedback Kominaaa.
The project Tilt Brush is really nice, but our project has big difference. For example:
:!: VIrtPaint mainly created for people with different kind of disabilities.
:!: In VirtPaint user will be able to use voice commands.
:!: You no need your hands to draw the 2D pictures, just movements of your head.
:!: You can download other pictures and photos.
  • Amazing idea, Elvina. I really love what you do. It is one of brilliant way to VR - to help people.

News! Our VIrtPaint team have decided to not use voice command as well as joystick at all. :o
We were thinking…”What if a person is mute?”, “What if it is not comfortable for our user to tap the button on head set?”
We believe that we can open up new horizons for all people who are interested in Art and Painting.

An option to use the touchpad (and/or voice control) would be nice tho for a later release version, as gaze control as easy and intuitive it might be, can be a bit cumbersome if you always have to wait for a selection timer to finish (or it is to fast and you select things you dident want, as it is in f.e. Viral, great game tho)
  • Limiting the controls excludes rather than includes. If you have the option to either use gaze or touch or controller or voice, the user can choose the one he likes (or combine as he likes), and everyone can find the setup they are most comfortable with.
For example: I usually use the controller when playing on the PS4, but when I'm lazy, I use voice controls. ;)

Very nice, I like the idea and interface. The studio environment looks very good.

You have probably already considered it:

I'm sure some folk will want to produce some "real" art with this so... have the ability for the artist to load any photo from their phone and have it to one side of the canvas as a reference. Maybe even allow painting on a copy of the photo.

Keep up the great work! :)

Yes, you are absolutely right, we are planning to use touchpad and voice commands for a later version of VIrtPaint. Now we are focusing on how to make comfortable use of hands free option. Thank you.
    To JaninaWoods
I agree with you, but all extra options we are planning to add to later version because our main idea is to give an opportunity to draw for people who have no ability to draw by hands in real life. Thank you for your opinion.
    To q4c
Yes, we are already thought about to have the ability to download pictures, photos and even make your own post cards. Thank you for advice, we are thinking alike.

  • Final version is a really greap app! Process of painting became comfortable and even relax)) Thank you, Elvina! I think your app is not only fun and original (I liked it!), but also it is serious social project.
Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my game, so I can honestly say, that I wish you to win :)

As i said before, wonderful idea and very useful VR there! Btw, it is really very cool to PLAY (tested APK). Interesting!

Tried this yesterday loved it! VERY cool for people with no arms or can't use them to paint with.
The whole app is very professionally put together! I love the art studio so people can see their work on a canvas sitting there nice touch!
The interface is very easy to use of course very important for beginners, i had no trouble with anything.

Constructive criticism for you, the 'target' lines could be made a pixel thinner, as well as the target circle that spins round to let you know when its selected as its quite thick when actually painting, i know it targets the focal point well, maybe reduce 10-20% or so?
Next release, add some more brushes, sprays and stamps, everyone loves a car stamp! (well i cant draw so that's my excuse!)

Other than that, a great app, well thought out, easy to use and deserving of a vote from me!

Thank you for all your feedbacks guys. I'm very glad to hear that.
I wish you good luck with your project as well. :)

To KonstantinGorshkov: Hey, I know what are you talking about, it’s pity. We couldn’t finish the project called History Alive as well :(

To Jaycee900: I agree with all Constructive criticism, it is good ideas, you are right, we should do.
Also we haven’t had enough time to add some more brushes, sprays and stamps, but we have big plans for the future version and even we want to create series of projects for those amongst us who don’t have the use of physical arms, where they will be able not just to draw but also create the music or play, study, etc.
