Hello

I just added a new .apk to my submission but after the challenge post being republished the link still points to the old .apk link I think? If I go to "edit my submission" the .apk in the field is the new one but the name of the .apk I download from the submission page is the old one.

This is my submission post: http://vrjam.challengepost.com/submissions/36764-apnea

This is the OLD apk name: https://vrjam-submissions.s3.amazonaws. ... _apnea.apk

this is the NEW apk name (not showing): https://vrjam-submissions.s3.amazonaws. ... _apnea.apk

Any ideas Oculus guys?

It has to be reviewed and approved first. That can take a while.

Yeah but it has supposed to have been reviewed and put as visible again?

I just did a round of approvals. Can you refresh the page and try again?

If I copy the link address it stills comes out as the old one

You are right - I see the old link as well. I'm contacting challengepost to report the issue, but I doubt they'll get a fix in tonight.

I've heard similar reports where teams tried again and it worked the next time. Can you give it one more try?

Just uploaded and linked a new app:

    https://vrjam-submissions.s3.amazonaws. ... _final.apk

Now I'll wait until its validated again.

    the link is as follows:

    https://vrjam-submissions.s3.amazonaws. ... Barren.apk

in the website field but not appearing on the page. have tried resubmitting but no luck. any help would be much appreciated

I resubmitted one more time and everything seems OK now for me.

Be careful and triple check your links!

It looks like ChallengePost servers are running slowly tonight. As far as we can tell, no changes are actually lost, they can just take a while (sometimes up to an hour) to propagate to your page.

As others have noted, double check your build links, and with any luck, the CP servers will catch back up soon!

    oh ok, cool! :)

I was in the same situation where my link was good and saved in the "edit" page but it was not visible in the "public" page.
I am going to wait until everything is ok. :)

CP is investigating, though it looks like it is a delay and not a data loss. Give it a bit of time to show up (worst case I've heard was an hour).

its been over 2 hours and still no apk link.. I am getting worried!!!
  • branditosonbranditoson Posts: 60
There are a couple sources of delay:
    1. Manual mod approval. I just did another round so your changes should be live now.
    2. CP delay updating link

Do you see it on your page now, if not, what is your submission?

Hmm, so I've uploaded our apk, and made some changes to the project description (The "Final Thoughts" section). I've received an email that my page was approved, and I can see the changes that I made to the description, but our apk link still hasn't shown up. It's only been 15 minutes since our page was approved, but of course I'm a bit anxious about it! I suppose the only thing to do is sit and wait!

    Our ChallengePost page.

EDIT: After about 40 minutes, our link updated. Huzzah!

It seems like many people are affected by this, and we fear that for some the delay never actually amounts to their build link posted. We just sent out an update giving an alternative method of providing the link to your signed APK: http://vrjam.challengepost.com/updates/ ... submission
If you are affected by this issue, here is an additional option to submit your build - email the following to [email protected]:
== A link to your submission page
== A link to your latest globally-signed APK
Given the late notice, we will give you up to two hours after the original deadline to send us your build link via this method; emails need to be sent by May 11 11:00am PT.
