Can't move in Game view when Platform set to Android in Unity

I must be missing something, I'm doing some tutorials for GearVR using Unity 5.6.1f1 on Win 10 PC, but I set the Platform to Android in the Project Settings so I can build which is fine, but do I have to keep putting it back to Windows platform to be able to move around in the Game view in Unity??  Its driving me up the wall!

Hi Imperativity. Yes I'm referring to moving around in the Game tab while playing the scene. Its any tutorial. I can replicate it with a brand new project with just a box, a floor and a 1st person character added. The only difference is setting the Platform to "PC,Mac Linux" which I can move around in but "Android" doesn't. Help appreciated.

Think I may have solved it! The Mobile Input setting in Unity menu was set to Enabled. Disabled it and can now move. Not sure if the setting is necessary for Gear VR and safe to disable, I can move ok in Gear as well.
