KERNELBASE.dll caused an Access Violation

I've noticed I can only use Oculus Integration in the Asset Store for Unity. When downloading and importing 1.30.1 and then restarting as required, Unity crashes.

The following is the start of the crash log file:

Unity Editor [version: Unity 2017.4.14f1_b28150134d55]
KERNELBASE.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
  in module KERNELBASE.dll at 0033:6697a388.

This is a show stopper for me - at new job so don't have integration downloads from previous versions. Can't do any work!

Please advise how I can access older version to see if this problem persists.

Thanks.

    Hi,

This would appear to be an issue with your operating environment and setup of your machine.

Are you able to try another machine and/or make sure you have the correct administrative rights to run programs on your computer?

    Hi @imperativity

I had the machine wiped and have admin access but it still persists. I found an project using Oculus 1.27 and it worked fine.

I was able though to test on 2 other PCs and they had no issue.

    Can hardware cause this error?

I have the exact same issue as @jkafkaris

I'm running Unity version 2018.2.14f1 I tried multiple different versions of unity with no luck. I even tried the recommended version 2017.4.11f1 with no luck :(

Running in administrator mode made no difference. It's also worth noting that this only happens after I restart Unity for the first time, before I restart unity everything works fine.

I haven't tested it on my other machine yet but even so I still need to figure out how I can get it working on my main machine.
