OBB Extension File

I was wondering how to properly install an obb file onto an Oculus Go device after building. I have tried build and run right onto the device from unity as well as sideloading the apk through adb then dropping the obb file in the proper spot but every time the device does not recognize the obb so it crashes when trying to access a new scene or asset that is not directly in the apk. Any info would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Welcome to the Oculus Developer Forums.

We recommend using our release channels for hosting your application with asset files and specifically our CLI Tool for uploading and updating these assets: https://dashboard.oculus.com/tools/cli/

Using this command you can upload a build and your OBB file to your chosen channel:

    ovr-platform-util upload-mobile-build --app_id <ID> --app_secret <Token> --apk <path/to/Your.apk> --obb <path/to/Your.obb> --assets-dir <path/to/DLCs/dir> --channel <ReleaseChannel> --notes <ReleaseNotes>
