Any way to achieve bloom effect without post processing

I'm using unity's LWRP and according to the article here:
https://developer.oculus.com/blog/getting-started-with-unitys-lightweight-render-pipeline-lwrp/
Postprocessing effects use intermediate textures and are terrible for performance!

In my project, I would like to achieve a bloom effect in order to make lights and emissive materials glow.
Does anyone know of a VR and performance friendly method of doing this?

I am currently using the plugin Beautify in my project. My game is for Rift and works well performance wise. Not sure about mobile.

@FiveFingerStudios thanks for the suggestion. Are you using this with LWRP?

I am not, however the description mentions that it’s supported.

Also, the asset is actively supported. I’ve also had timely responses and even fixes for any issues I’ve had in the past.
