Come help VR Jam devs test their builds!

Hello everyone!

We've received a lot of questions about sharing your builds for you Mobile VR Jam submissions with others so they can give them a try. Please follow these steps to share your build:

1. Go to the Global Signing Tool and get a globally signed version of your APK: http://vrjam.challengepost.com/updates/3284-milestone-3-update
2. Post that link in your ChallengePost Submission form.
3. Come post a link to your public ChallengePost submission page here in this thread!

Please note: We recommend you don't click direct links to builds from here (this thread). It's safest to go to the submission page and download from there.

Would love some help testing Polo:

Especially the multi-player.

I Just tested the single player. I like your tutorial with the books and scrolls. Running through the tunnels low to the ground is a pretty cool effect. I'm not entirely sure what's giving me away to the cat, or what kind of maneuvering helps me avoid the cat. Your game looks very pretty, by the way. I like that there's variety with different playing fields.

I'm one of those unfortunates who likes VR but is very susceptible to simulator sickness, so I didn't last too long. my body never seems to be able to adjust to virtual running.

Hi!
Would be great if someone could test 3D Gallery 3 and let me know if it works.

Just tested 3D Gallery 3, and it works. Runs smooth. It would be great to see more content in the gallery!

Thanks for testing, TegTap!

In the next versions, there will be much more content (more rooms, ability to include own pictures, videos...)

On which device / Android version are you testing? (I'm developing / testing on a Note 4 N910F, Android 5.0.1)
current GearVR project: 3D Gallery 3

I'd love to get some feedback on my submission Blind Swordsman - http://vrjam.challengepost.com/submissi ... -swordsman

Just tried it out, and I have to say, it was more intense than I thought it would be. I could locate everyone based on their footsteps. I know that one of the primary game mechanics is not being able to see - I would still love to get a brief snapshot of what's going on once the user has committed to an attack. Maybe the player has some sort of zen power where they can get a brief glimpse with their third eye during a stroke or something. Just a thought. The text in the beginning is kind of jarring, since the stereoscopy isn't lined up, and can only be read with one eye shut.

Please could someone test if the tutorial I added to S.P.Y. Robot as late change works
Please tell also what OS version you have installed.

The game runs smooth and the renderings are really nice. Running KitKat. I think the tutorial is working... a couple of digital reader boards told me about swiping to change the forward view angle, and then to hack into the mainframe. When I ended up back in the starting room with a laptop and used the video program I downloaded, a robot appeared. I didn't know what to do, so I tapped the touchpad, the robot went away, and then I was pretty much stuck.

Thanks for doing a video of Canary Mountain, hope you got a chance to see what it's like with headphones though.

Also, I played your game the other day and really liked it. Didn't realize you were the developer though til you commented on my post today. It was one of the games I had to pass around to my teammates to show off. Really well done, we were all impressed for sure!

Selzier amazing work! Your videos are very useful for developers, thank you for it!

If somebody will have a second - please take a look on our InCELL game http://challengepost.com/software/incell-vr 🙂 Thank you.

A video of Scorched Battalion would be great, but I fully understand if you don't have time. So many games/experiences! It's kind of overwhelming.

Here are a few more I've tested:

Awakening: I like the idea of looking around your character from a top-down perspective. It will be reallly awesome when you orchestrate enemy attacks from multiple sides to utilize this functionality. I had a lot of fun playing it. As an easily-sim-sickened guy, I would be able to play for longer periods if I didn't have to walk so much.

Private Eye: Can't get it to install.

Scorched Battalion: One of the most entertaining VR games I've played! Smooth, beautiful, comical. I couldn't always figure out when/if I was moving my tanks. Overall, I was very impressed by it.

InCELL: I love the glowing style, it runs smooth, it's placed in a cool and unique setting, but I could not figure out what was going on or how to play. I could see numbers, highlight numbers (most of the time), but I didn't know what was going on. I've played your games and I know you produce quality (I LOVE Prime World Defenders!) Help?

Canary Mountain: I really want to try this one, but I must have installed an older version of it somehow, or maybe it uses the same bundle ID as another game I have installed. I get an error stating that an app under this ID with a conflicting signature is already installed. I could systematically uninstall apps off my Note 4 until the duplicate ID is gone, but I'm not quite ready to do that. Anyone else experienced this?

Virtual Vikings: Being able to toggle between 3rd and 1st person is a cool concept for this genre of game. The scenery is nice and the premise is cool, but I couldn't quite figure out what to do. I was getting some judder on my KitKat Note 4.
