Finalists

EDIT:
Finalists announced - http://www.oculus.com/vrjam/

Anyone else excited about the finalists announcement?
Not long to go now!

Anyone putting down bets on which games will make it through?
They'll probably try and spread the finalists out amongst the different types of entries rather than have all shooters or all horror games.

My money's on VBert, one of the dragon games, dread halls, SimUSpeak, private eye, sight line, time rifters, dumpy... hard to decide!

Hopefully they'll announce it while I'm awake in UK time.

Congrats everyone!

Like spinaljack, I am wondering which 10 finalists are from the open call and which ones are from the selected developers.

Time Rifters was submitted as part of the open call.

It is a pretty good demo.

Also, Dreadhalls is open call as well.

Damn, I was hoping you would be a selected dev. 🙂
Don't Let Go! is open call aswell.

Just for my own curiosity, I've tried to count the two categories. Here's my best guess so far:

(Edited several times based on corrections below)

Open Call:
1. Ciess
2. Dreadhalls
3. Epic Dragon
4. Stargazer
5. SightLine
6. Chicken Walk
7. Time Rifters
8. Don't Let Go
9. Alone
10. Shiny
11. Lost Route
12. Private Eye

Selected Developers:
1. Komorebi - creators made Panoramical, a previous IndieCade selection
2. Virtual Internet Hacker - creators are part of the Copenhagen Game Collective, also previous IndieCade selectees
3. Elevator Music - creator had a game, The Recital, shown at IndieCade's E3 booth
4. Nostrum - Robert Yang - just a guess; Robert is a significant name in the indie scene

Unconfirmed:
1. Dumpy: Going Elephants
2. Roleplayer
3. Dragon
4. Specter Seekers

Phew, that means dumpy or private eye (or both) are selected devs which means not direct competition XD
Those 2 are really good.

Congrats to the other finalists and - especially - everyone else who submitted a game!

Shiny is open call too - that should complete the list 🙂

Lost Route is open call solo project 🙂

Interesting. That's the 11th confirmed open call project, unless I made a mistake. Well, I don't mind if they expand the finalists in my category! Maybe there just weren't enough submissions from Selected Developers?

Based on the feedback in this thread I have the Open Call Top 10 list as:
1. Alone
2. Chicken Walk
3. Ciess
4. Don't Let Go
5. Dreadhalls
6. Epic Dragon
7. Lost Route
8. Shiny
9. Sightline
10. Time Rifters

This would mean that the Selected Developers Top 10 list is:
1. Dragon
2. Dumpy
3. Elevator Music
4. Komorebi
5. Nostrum
6. Private Eye
7. Roleplayer
8. Specter Seekers
9. Stargazer
10. Virtual Internet Hacker

@EMcNeill
I believe that you have Stargazer in your open call top ten list which is bringing the total to 11.
