Any way to play Prey in VR?

I want to buy Prey but I'm afraid that soon they'll be a VR mod or some hack using vorpx. It looks like an ideal game for VR in terms of a first person experience.

Has anyone played it using vorpx?

I found one post in the vorpx forums where a guy said he was able to get it running.

I don't use VorpX, might have to try this with the Reshade and SuperDepth3D method. If it works I'll make a video!

Is it working well? do things look distorted or wrong?

The video in a VR headset will look great. I did turn all the settings down to low to record the footage and it doesn't look as good as a proper VR supported game like Doom 3 for example.
The 3D stands out more once you start to get your weapons and I still need to play around with it to get the quality right. I used the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare 3D settings as suggested in the link above.

Ok I just tweaked some settings, put graphics on High and it was running 90 FPS in both eyes on my GTX 1060 and it looked really good. I could probably get a good FPS on Very High settings. I'm impressed with it so far.

So it turns out this game has support for NVidia 3DVision. If thats the case Its probably possible to get true geometry 3D not just re-projected depth. What would be cool is if NVidia published the source for their 3DVision driver and we could rewrite it using their VRWorks SDK and get true VR support for games that run with 3DVision. Of course, someone would have to write head tracking code as well, but rendering would be perfect.
