The game is out for PCVR and for PSVR today, and although the game may look very simple and lacks proper textures, the poly count may have been shaped for PSVR, which isn't bad. The PC version also is 10GB, so it's not a tiny game. As can be seen in the shots below, the view distance looks great.

EDIT Arpil 25. Note that only the Oculus version support native Oculus drivers (including ASW 2.0 support for optimal performance) - the Steam version only supports Steam drivers.

I haven't had the time to try the game yet, but will later today - Ben did like it though:

Been having fun with the game for some days. It kinda grows on you. Many quests are great - and you do have to think in this puzzle game.
Yesterday, using deductive reasoning, lol, I was sure a specific item had to be in one specific location - I just couldn't find it - but I didn't give up, and checking one extra time suddenly I found it. Also the combination of masks, mask add-on items and colors are great - so the masks are puzzles in themselves, and what drives the game.
When you put on the VR hmd, it's like going through a portal and suddenly you're in another world. This is exactly what Maskmaker is copying - and it works great.

Note that there's a severe bug in the game - where you fall through the ground and get stuck in the game - you can see the place at the end of this video:
If you get stuck, you can contact the devs and get a new save game: support@innerspacevr.com
- but a patch should be ready in a few days.

Btw, just tested the Oculus version with the Rift CV1. Overall the Index is best, but this game also shines with the Rift CV1 super sampling (ss) 2.0. Performance was great using ss 2.0 with my GTX 1080, but ASW 2.0 did kick in here'n there. One bridge - felt like 1.5 km or 1 mile away, was still possible to see clearly with the CV1 ss 2.0 - that's the true power of ss 2.0.
You get more sharpness, res and fov with the Index. While the game is more blurry even with CV1 ss 2.0, I'm convinced the CV1 shows the game "the way it's meant to be played". Due to the SDE, all jaggies are simply gone with the CV1 ss 2.0 - and all objects are perfectly integrated in the gaming works, nothing pops out. With the Index res 150 % you do see more jaggies, but not much.
If you own the Rift CV1, don't worry about not having the latest hmd, you're still getting one of the very best seats for the show, but remember to increase the ss.

Maskmaker is kinda a strange game. Right now the Rift version only has 16 ratings (average 4.4/5), while the Steam version only has 95 ratings. One might think that Maskmaker with about 110 ratings was a big failure - but it's not, it has sold at least 100,000 copies on Steam according to SteamSpy:
Adding all the PSVR sales to the PCVR sales, Maskmaker may be a great hit. But back to Steam. Getting 1 rating for every 1,000 sold copies is extremely low. Alyx had 50k ratings when reaching 2 mill copies - that's one rating per 40 copies. Thus kinda odd results for Maskmaker. But let's hope all is well for the devs!
Btw, to my amazement I found out my RTX 3090 could do 90 fps in Maskmaker even when pushing res 500% 😮 So Maskmaker is greatly optimized - and this is not a Quest game, but a PSVR port. I took a few shots using res 500% (notice how sharp everything is - also very distant objects):

It seems that different type of games could attract different people, so rating ratio could be different. For art like games it could be less ratings I think.

A valid point, still I can't help thinking that there must be something wrong with SteamSpy if their Maskmaker sale number estimate correlates with just one rating per 1,000 sales...
I could ask the devs, lol - but maybe that's not a bad idea...

Free with my Vive Port Infinity subscription. Downloading now so I'll get back after I give it a go with both my Vive Pro (w/Index controllers) and Quest 2 wireless w/Air Link. Thanks for the heads up mate. Cheers.
