VorpX Beta Now Works With Vive

Shadowmask72
Honored Visionary
The VorpX Beta 16.2.0 has just been released which means it's working as a beta with the HTC Vive. Developer Ralf (who is absolutely brilliant btw) will continually update the software as it's not 100% at present (hence Beta).  Looking around the web and it seems Alien Isolation Vive is working well with VorpX even if a bit fiddly to set up.

If you want to purchase VorpX for Rift or Vive then check the store link here.

For those unfamiliar, VorpX is software which allows you to play your regular games in VR complete with head tracking. Here's a list of supported games.

vorpX currently is the only available solution that allows you to experience modern DX10/DX11 games likeFallout 4, various Call of Duty titles, Battlefield 3/4 and many others on your Oculus Rift.

There will be some people on this forum that will have both a rift and a vive and no doubt some that moved over to vive while they wait. Its not really doing any harm is it?

1.There a several users who have a Vive and a Rift ON THIS FORUM and VorpX works for both.
2. There are several users who have just a Vive ON THIS FORUM.
3. There are no doubt a number of lurkers who also have a Vive ON THIS FORUM.
4. There are no rules against posting threads relevant to other HMD ON THIS FORUM.

Do you want me to continue?

shadowmask is the poster of the "big" vive threads on the Oculus forums
in fact he has had so much success that I might go post that (insert tech company here) on the (other competing tech company forums here)

Posting about ATI on the NVIDIA forums seems about right

Well, as an Oculus owner I come here to read about Oculus relevant apps, and this thread is just annoying bloat to me.

If/when I get a Vive as well, I'll go check out Vive forums for apps relevant to that HMD.

Fair enough I get what your saying, and that this is an oculus forum but for people that have both and might only be on this forum it may be relevant or useful for them. This seems to be a good forum with a lot of people interested in VR in general not just oculus.

As a Kickstarter Backer who is still waiting for the CV1 I ordered the HTC Vive. I received it a few days ago and I must say its very very cool. I have to finish my VR Room asap.

I don't think that the cv1 is as good as the vive. I will see it if I will receive the cv1 one day.
