Is this the queue for the S&S review Runes?

Of course! Can't wait to look at textures, frame rates and ss using both CV1 and Index! I just hope some annoying zombies aren't going to disturb me too much when checking textures and more  :#

"Who cares about the gameplay if textures and frame rates are great?"   😄

Uh-oh, now I'm starting to think about why I like Boneworks, because I'm not sure I like the gameplay that much

Will CV1 ss 2.0 asw 2.0 or Index Super-Fov res ? provide the best S&S experience? Sometimes the most expensive car doesn't provide the most comfortable ride, stay tuned  B)

CT just post 10 expensive rides with parts borrowed from cheap car yesterday So i decide re-post this photo The side mirror is actually the same expensiverideswithpartsborrowedfromcheapcar - Off topic

After watching the above video I'm convinced - just like Asgard's Wrath and Stormland - that The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners was not made for Index, Rift-S, O+, Reverb and certainly not any new Pimax hmds. No, this games was made for the Oculus Rift CV1! It does make sense with the game probably having been in development for several years .

In the video many persons were shown playing or working on the game - here are shots of all the hmds shown in the video - I've left out not a single hmd (or controllers)  o:)

Using oled or lcd is not at all the same - the black levels and colors that shine using oled may look really awful with a lcd hmd. Now I'm thinking that all colors and black levels in this game were made to look awesome with the CV1 - and of course may look great with Quest Link and Vive (Pro) too (all are oleds too).
I've got a lot of very dark games that I can't - or just don't - play using the Index (lcd hmd), because clearly devs never bothered fixing the black levels (lighting and brightness).
Also as a dev, how to judge if the poly levels are right and the game performance acceptable? It's by far not the same using CV1 ASW 2.0 or the Index (or Vive Pro) - again, using CV1 may have profound impact on game design on almost all levels - including sound (how much bass should we use - what sounds great in-game?), tracking, performance, texture res and black levels etc.
Until otherwise proven, safe bet is to use CV1 for this game. Quest Link may be a great option too, at least for image quality.
Of course we should wait for real reviews - this is just my VR spider-sense starting to tingle in favor of the CV1  😉

Plot twist... they are all using the one headset they own.

Yeah - but all the hmds look quite new (not like frequently being used at home - there's also an "EXIT" sign on the door in the first picture, does not look like home..) - the girl has some dot on her hmd, I doubt she put that on herself... To me it looks like some are devs and some are playtesters - maybe all using hmds made available at the game dev studio... In a video about developing the game it does seems natural to use footage of devs and playtesters... The Oculus odor seems strong with this title!  😄

I've put the video on Reddit o:) - love to expose Index owners to a solid (maybe subconscious) dose of CV1  B)

Background/story video part 2:

They show that the artists have spent tons of hours getting the textures and lighting - and the sound - to be simply perfect. And again all shown hmds are Rift CV1. Some locations look really dark, I'm starting to seriously doubt this game will be great using non-oled hmds.

Also a bit annoying if it turns out the devs have not thoroughly optimized art and brightness for lcd hmds. Much like Westworld, which of course is playable using Index, but brightness levels aren't that good - until you try the CV1.

More info about one of the most awaited games of the year - and with no L4D VR in sight, VR Focus may be right that this will be the very best zombie shooter we'll experience in 2020:

https://www.vrfocus.com/2020/01/preview-the-walking-dead-saints-sinners-zombie-kill-of-the-year/

The game is 34GB, one of the biggest VR games measured in GB, maybe only topped by Asgard's Wrath, Marvel Powers United and some (driving) sims like DiRT 1-2...

BTW, the game is the 4th most wanted VR game according the VR Game Rankings:
