Beat Saber is the best VR game released in 2018 imo.
Then, I had a hell of a time on Windlands 2.
In third position, I would put Skyrim VR. The game is great but the VR side of it was unpolished, even after several updates, which is why it is not my favourite game. I mean, for a port it's definitely great, but I still found it disappointing.

There's plenty games released these past months I haven't tried though. Mind Labyrinth seems unique, Vox Machinae may be a dream come true for me (I'm waiting for it to develop a bit more though), Transference seems awesome too...
Also, plenty old games got very interesting updates. Rec Room got a ton of content, VRChat is way more polished, Oculus Medium had an interesting update too. I still have to try out the latest update of E:D.

Overall I was satisfied with the VR content this year.

Yea, I like that idea, would be helpful for many looking for their next experience. I bought so many VR games this year, that I've only scratched the surface so my list is subject to change when I delve more deeply in them. Don't think my first choice will change though.
Vox Machinae for best action and VR implementation.
I have both Skyrim VR and Fallout 4 VR and would have to rate Skyrim a bit better in VR for my VR port preference.
My favorite new to me game was recommended by Tom. X-plane flight sim. It will be my Merry Christmas to me gift this year. Thanks Tom

Based on games with at least 40 ratings, the best games launched in 2018 and available in the Oculus Store are:

1. Beat Saber (although early access)
2. Racket: Nx (v. 1.0 launched July 2018)
3. Brass Tactics (launched Feb 2018)
4. Moss
5. Vox Machinae
6. Brass Tactics: Arena
7. PokerStars VR
8. The Thrill of the Fight
9. In Death
10. Pixel Ripped 1989

I agree that Skyrim VR may be one of the top games in 2018 - but I haven't tried it yet. Not sure I ever will (I don't have the time for such games)

So - for now - my list would be:

1. Moss

2. Windlands 2

Well I spoke too soon, a new title is available on Oculus Home (this was released on SteamVR back in October):

Witching Tower

I'm planning a full review once I finish it. But I'm already loving this as my favorite 2018 experience. Granted, this is not as polished as something like Lone Echo or Mage's Tale, but it's well worth the purchase price if you love Action RPG with some puzzling. It uses both Locomotion and Teleportation, but I'm a fan of snap turning and that is not implemented very well. You can only snap turn in the "Right" direction - not the Left - so I have to turn alot; I don't like this 'cause I'm lazy lol

Other than that... top notch.

I forgot that Fallout 4 and Skyrim VR was this year so I would definitely put both of those at the top.

Yes, the Rift patch for FallOut 4 didn't happen before April 2018, so that must count as a 2018 release 😉 It's one of the game I'm saving for my next video card upgrade - I'd so much love to play that game in ss 2.0 90 fps - or better.

Only problem with FO4 is it's not as easy to mod compared to Skyrim. I did try and one point then gave up. So, I had fun with the vanilla version. SS 2.0 you say. Good luck with that fella. All I can say is, with that high there will be times where it runs smooth and others it tanks. The stutter is much more noticeable if you are using smooth turning and free movement options.

I went back to Elite and yeh @snowdog it has changed considerably since the last time I played. You can now view your character and choose outfits and many other things. Shame the voice mod you have to pay extra for. My only wish is that at the start the game has more voice recorded entries for the introduction missions. Works well in the tutorial but seems a bit bare when you launch the full game and it's just text.
