With a GTX 760 GTX 970 4GB and 32GB of RAM, would this set up be usable for the rift? essentially its a mac pro with an upgraded graphics card and windows 10 installed, I know the device wont work while booted into Mac OS but would it work in windows? ive got a usb 3 card installed to.

It could be that Oculus didn't take Xeon processors into consideration when creating the tool. Xeon CPUs are typically only meant for server/workstation use.

Here is a thread where someone with  a Xeon processor says it runs fine, but keeps getting a message saying that his processor doesn't meet the recommendation:

I would think it would run fine, but no one is going to go out on a limb and guarantee it.
