Great Oculus demo at Dutch museum

Anonymous

Have a look here ( http://wfm.nl/oculus/) at a great demo that will be ready this fall in the Dutch West Fries museum. You can wander around in the beautiful rendered dutch 16th century village Hoorn.

They are planning to have 35 seats with Oculus Rifts to experience te demo. They are still looking for some funds to make it possible but another great step for VR in my opinion.

Here is a Dutch art 'Kickstarter' site where you can donate

That's very cool! I'd really like to learn how the programmer did the rigging on the ships! The ropes hang realistically.

Great concept and design. I hope it navigates well to minimize participants feeling ill.
But... but... but... I just NEED to know about the Baba! The Baba has me hypmotized!

A museum shouldn't have to beg on Kickstarter for promoting that kind of project. Granted, it's not cheap (buying PCs, rifts, the modeling and walkthrough experience). I suppose that's the kind of world we are living in now, and I disgress...

The model and lighting are of high quality. Somehow reminds me of what a game studio would produce.
DK1 FREAK...

Agree @obzen - I can not see why a Edutainment project such of this needs a KickStarter?

Was this funded before it started - or was this a experiment that the team wants to take further, information limited on the KS?

Also the team understand that when they move toward forward from the KS to become a dedicated attraction / exhibit, they will not be able to use the DK's?
