I just picked up a G2, a loose wire in the headset of my G1 and ready to part with that thick cable.

Loving it so far, the image quality and colors are wonderful IMO. I can finally play at that resolution standing up. With the G1, I would only use it for flight, race and sit down games so I could tuck that cable in the armrest and try to remain still so I wouldn't yank it. Awesome HP is free of the towing chain.

The new controllers are a bit better than first gen WMR controllers. I like the more familiar layout. Still lacking in some ways. like hitting that button on the side of your head in Lone Eco. The new controllers are more familiar but feel more awkward in my hand than the originals. Too stubby IMO.

I sold my CV1 last year so I can't try it with constellation tracking, but I still have my Vive and lighthouses up. I also have a few of those Vive trackers dongles. I ordered the Valve index knuckles controllers since I had everything else here to do either method. I will be using the G2 with index controllers.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzPrsEsdaQE
