Rising Star
"MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Series integrates the latest Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1+ standards for the fastest and most efficient local wireless connectivity. Wi-Fi 6 performance offers gigabit-class performance, so even without 5G an internet connection remains ultra-fast and reliable."

Now if MediaTek can bring WIFI6 to SoC level, certainly Qualcomm too can do it! and yes it can though not highlighted like Mediatek platform

Any VR headset that is powerd by WIFI6 SoC level supported internals can wireless receive huge chunk of data thus soon we will be able to see wireless link.

Ya, WiFi 6 is def going to be the next way to go.  Just like 5Ghz WiFi when it came out quite a few  years ago.  Probably going to take a while to filter down to mobile VR headsets and to allow us all to upgrade our current 2.4/5Ghz routers.

It will be interesting to see if these new SD mobile chips have enough decoding performance to allow for proper high speed usb3.1 type-c transfer rates (probably usb4.0 by then).  Thanks for passing this on mate.
