Multiple Sensor Support?

Just a question regarding the upcoming Touch, specifically the inclusion of another Sensor:

Is this Sensor just for the Touch, or is it to reduce the chance of tracking-point occlusions?

Presuming it's the latter, in which case both Sensors will track the headset and the controllers, I imagine they should optimally be set up in opposite 'corners' of the tracking area.

Is there an upper limit to the amount of Sensors the Oculus Runtime supports? Would it be possible to add a third, or fourth Sensor (each 'corner') to improve tracking, or increase the tracking area volume?

It will track both the HMD and the touch controllers.  It is to limit occlusions and the current runtime supports up to 4 sensors.
