Oculus Rift and Surface Book 2 Compatability

Nikmus
Honored Guest
I have a question about Compatability and the Oculus Rift.

If I have the a Surface Book 2 with:
   15 Inch Display
Intel i7-8650U Quad Core 4.2GHz Max Turbo CPU
   16GB RAM 1866Mhz LPDDR3
1TB PCIe SSD Solid State Drive
   NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 discrete GPU w/6GB GDDR5 graphics memory
and I have it connected to a Surface Dock that has the following Connections:
   2 Mini DisplayPorts
   1 Gigabit Ethernet port
   4 USB 3.0 ports
   1 Audio out port

Will this configuration work for the Oculus Rift?

From what I understand, the system specs are fine, except that the Surface Book 2 only has 3 USB connections native to it, and from what I have seen, USB hubs don't work too well.  I am wondering if the SurfaceConnect cable has the throughput needed to handle three full USB Connections with the 1GB Ethernet Port, and the displays.

Anyway, if anyone knows if this works, of if one of you the works at Oculus could let me know, I would appreciate it.  I would like to know if the Rift is an option for me.  I will purchase the Surface Dock.

If the Dock doesn't work, is there a way to add a 4th usb port that will work with the Rift?

Thanks again!
