Zuckerberg posted a status update today that mentions a new feature coming to Quest 2 upon deployment of Version 30: Infinite Office Space.
This is for multitasking in VR. As someone who loves using VR for more than just gaming and entertainment, this is very exciting indeed. I'm still longing for the day where I can do all my work in VR.

Also, for those wanting Air Link on the original Quest... that is arriving soon as well.

For anyone who can't wait for official Quest 1 Air Link, you can unofficially enable it as per this thread:
https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/Oculus-Quest-2-and-Quest/air-link-on-quest-1/m-p/863723
It works very well so not surprised it's coming officially, I assume they must have just been either tweaking or verifying acceptable performance before enabling it.
I assume Infinite Office is still Quest 2 only, although maybe coming later to Quest 1 after more testing? Been waiting for it since the first announcement. I would just be doubtful of Quest 1 comfort for this compared with a Rift-S (which would be ideally suited to office work by the way), I have a feeling this kind of VR use could result in many more hours spent with an HMD than games... at least for some people.
Maybe Quest 2 with one of the after market Halo options is the way to go.
....or Quest 3 supplied with a Halo? 🙂

Great news for Infinite Office! 🙂
It could be perfect for work from any place and you have a "secure monitor" so no one cold see your "desktop" screen. Even while traveling.

Great news there, I'm also excited that ASW is coming to Quest2 in ver 30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8UXqjRtJwQ

I think that's Virtual Desktop's SSW rather than Oculus' ASW. One uses your PC's GPU the other uses the headset's processor. It seems SSW may be better for frame rates but not sure if that's under all conditions... does the headset always have processor headroom for this when linked?

Good question, I like to run it @ 2560*2560. SSW and SS may not be possible at the same time. I'll know when 30 drops
