I'd love to explore more Tron like environments, i.e. filled vectorgraphics, stuff that's more abstract instead of trying to be realistic by using e.g. detailed textures, like most triple A games. In short: environments that leave much to the imagination. I'd love to play the (2003) Tron 2.0 game on the Rift too - anyone working on getting that done?
Any other suggestions?
I find Kairo and Antichamber to offer a somehwat comparable experience, anything more along those lines that I've missed?
I built a game for the VR Jam that simulates vector graphics using post process FX in UDK. I'm still building multi-player functionality and some alternate game modes, but you're more than welcome to experiment with it or test it if you'd like. it's called DEET Defender and any feedback, comments or criticism would be helpful. it's turned into one of many pet projects i have going on at the moment.
@sporx: DEET is nice, including the sounds. The cockpit feels a bit cramped though, I'd love to be able to fly around freely - maybe add a "Bit" (like in the original Tron movie) drone? Definitely keeping an eye on future development - "multiplayer combat racing"..mmmh.. 8-)
@xanderdavis, I'll skip Powergrid, it looks interesting but $10 is a bit steep for an "experiment" IMO.
@Kra, thanks, tried it and forgot about it, Ciess, it's a fun game, but as you say not really an environment to explore. Like the style, though.
FRACT OSC is the game I am still looking forward to the most. Unless its actually a real official TRON VR game it wont get any closer than FRACT. http://fractgame.com/
