Dear community,
We have some oldies running for an exhibition (Rift VC1) and now we got the message in the Oculus App that from January 1 2023, we need to migrate to a Meta-Account (see attached image).
My question is: Do I have to upgrade?
For the experience, we don't use any controllers and only 1 sensor to have a 360° video experience showing.
My second question: If I migrate the Oculus-Account used on the devices (connected to the interwebs) to a Meta-Account, does it just work fine or do I have to install some updates on the device itself?
Looking forward to an answer and thank you in advance.
Best regards
(PS: I had to use a label and used Rift S, as Rift CV1 just doesn't exist 😉 ).

I got an answer from the Meta Support today, so the matter is solved. Thx.
If anyone else has the same question, here is the answer:
You don't have to create a meta account, after January 1, 2023, without a meta account you will only not be able to use all the features, such as the social features.
Besides the normal software updates, you should not need to do any other updates.
