'It would be great to do exactly 2 things:
- View friend's wishlists.
- Buy games for my friends!
I just want to grant wishes man! C'mon. Take my money.
K. Thx. Bai!
Seriously! I just gifted a Quest to my family. But I can't buy any games for them to help curate their experience! You guys have to know that allowing gifting is an instant way to increase your own revenue. Please provide this soon!
Gifting would be great, I've instinctively gone to gift someone a title a couple of times and always have to remember that Oculus is three years into having a store and still does not have the feature.
I want to gift games to a friend who doesn't have a credit/debit card yet but since there's no gift system or gift cards it's impossible. You guys would make pretty good money
Exactly this. I bought 3 quests and would love to buy games for their recipients. Yes I could send some sort of amex gift card or paypal thing but the friction there is huge. Nevermind explaining to a 10 year old on the other side of the planet how to do it on their end of the transaction. I have his username, I want to buy a game. Done! That is how it should be.
Tons of money on Paypal, me and freinds checking the store, they are poor smucks and have no mooney. Can I be please be able to buy games for them. Please take my money too?
How is this not a top priority?! You've finally made good VR accessible to the masses and then dropped the ball on game gifting? I can understand the lack of gifting on the pc side with cv1. Anyone dedicated enough to have a gaming PC and setup the cameras can probably afford and figure out how to aquire games. But quest is the "everymans vr" and the paths to experiencing good VR content need to be easy and plentiful.
This isnt really a thing that would be a problem, but if we do the gift cards, then it wouldn't be a problem just gitting that and giving that to them.
